The loyalty oath used to require a room. A flag, a hand, a witness, a sentence read aloud in front of people who could see your face. The oath has been ported. It now requires a phone, an index finger, and no witnesses at all — only a counter that goes up.

What the shirt names is the collapse of two systems that were never supposed to touch. The first is geopolitical allegiance: a position on a conflict eight thousand miles away, held with the conviction of a man who has been there, by a man who has not. The second is the compulsion loop — the scroll, the refresh, the four-hour session that begins as curiosity and ends as maintenance.

Both systems run on the same hardware. Both reward the same behavior. Both are optimized by parties who will never introduce themselves. When the feed learned that outrage and arousal produce identical retention curves, it stopped distinguishing between them, and so did you.

The figure on the shirt is drawn in a style imported from a country with no stake in the conflict, wearing a symbol from a country that did not commission the drawing, over a caption in a language neither of them speaks natively. This is not a coincidence. This is the actual supply chain of your convictions, printed at 300 DPI.

Nobody gooning for a foreign state believes they are doing it. That is the load-bearing feature. The shirt states the position out loud, which is the one thing the position cannot survive.
